Pink Floyd – Full vinyl discography
Pink Floyd was formed in 1965 with the following line-up Syd Barrett on rhythm guitar and vocals, Bob Klose also on guitar, Roger Waters on bass and vocals, Richard Wright on keyboards and vocals and Nick Mason on drums. The name of the band was chosen by Barrett, at the time the undisputed leader, as a tribute to two bluesmen he loved very much (Pink Anderson and Floyd Council). Following the immediate abandonment of Klose, en route to Syd whose musical choices he did not share, Pink Floyd released two years later their first 45 rpm containing the historic “Arnold Layne”. And, in the same year, after releasing another 45 rpm, in which the equally famous “See Emily play” is included, Syd Barrett decides to record the first real album.
