The Beach Boys’ Christmas Album, released in November 1964, is the seventh studio album recorded by the Beach Boys.
Christmas is a season of joy, warmth and festive music, and few artists capture the holiday spirit as masterfully as the legendary Beach Boys. This iconic Californian band has given the world some of the most unforgettable Christmas albums, creating a unique, sun-soaked atmosphere even during the cold winter days.

The album, although mostly a compilation of covers of classic Christmas songs, still contains five new songs composed by the Californian band.
While leader Brian Wilson produced and arranged the rock songs, he left it to Dick Reynolds (an arranger of the Four Freshmen, a group idolized by Wilson) the task of managing a forty-piece orchestra, testifying to the fact that for the Beach Boys this album was as important as all the others in their production.
One single was released from the Christmas album, the original song “The Man with All the Toys” accompanied by the group’s version of “Blue Christmas”. Also included on the album was “Little Saint Nick”, a single released the previous year.
The Christmas-themed songs re-proposed in Beach Boys style range from Frosty the Snowman a song composed in 1950 by Walter “Jack” Rollins to the very classic Santa Claus Is Comin’ to Town written by John Frederick Coots way back in 1934, passing through White Christmas and We Three Kings of Orient Are.
The album was well received upon its release on the market and its success far exceeded the Christmas period. In the USA it reached number six on the Billboard 200 before the end of 1964 and was subsequently certified gold.
The print was made by Capitol records, catalog T-2164, both in mono and stereo versions.
