Alive! is the first live album from the band of Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley.

In 1975, after having released their first three albums with not too much commercial success, Kiss, strongly influenced by their label Casablanca records, decided to release a live album.

The disc, a double titled Alive! (Casablanca Records ‎– NBLP 7020) , was released in September of that year and, thanks to the grit that has always distinguished Kiss’s live performances and an impeccable recorded sound quality, it achieved enormous success reaching the ninth position in the best-selling albums of 1975 and remaining on the charts for an impressive 110 weeks! Not only that, the quality of this record will become a benchmark for many future live recordings made by various rock bands.

Like many other great records in rock history, Alive! has continued to feature prominently in magazine and critic charts over the years, and in 2003 the album was ranked number 159 on Rolling Stone magazine’s list of the 500 Greatest Albums of All Time.

In 2006, it was placed at number 26 on Guitar World magazine’s list of the 100 Greatest Guitar Albums of All Time. In 2009, the same magazine will put it in 3rd place in the Top 10 live albums chart.

The track list of Alive! consists of songs from the three studio albums released up to then, namely Kiss, Hotter Than Hell and Dressed to Kill. The recordings come from concerts held in Detroit, Cleveland, Wildwood and Davemport during the Dressed to Kill tour.

Alive! it was published in a gatefold version without saving on packaging, images and contents. In fact, an eight-page booklet was inserted inside the disc containing a big collection of photos of the Kiss members taken during their live performances.
